Great full time career opportunity with the city! We're looking for a qualified, motivated, and hands-on individual. This leadership role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all public works operations including streets, parks, water and wastewater systems, storm sewer systems, equipment maintenance, and public buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and direct day-to-day operations of the Public Works Department.
*Supervise and coordinate department staff, schedules, and projects.
*Oversee maintenance and repair of city infrastructure and public facilities.
*Develop and manage departmental budgets and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
*Maintain records and prepare reports related to department activities.
*Serve as a liaison with contractors, engineers, and other governmental agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
*High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
*Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public works, utilities, construction, or related fields.
*At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
*Valid Minnesota driver’s license (Class B CDL)
*State of Minnesota Water and Wastewater certifications, a minimum of B Wastewater and C Water license required.

*Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
*Knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems, maintenance techniques, and relevant regulations.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt position offering a competitive salary ranging from $32.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications, along with an excellent benefits package including health insurance, retirement contributions, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
