Operations/Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF)

Pay Range: $31.91-$35.46 per hour
*Per the Union contract, new employees start at $31.91 per hour and progress to the max wage following their first year of employment.

The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport is recruiting an Operations/Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF). Qualifications for the position include:
• Class B Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsements
• Emergency Medical Responder certification
• Ability to pass an ARFF 40 hour Class within six (6) months of employment
• Emergency Medical Technician certification or ability to pass EMT Certification according to national standards within one (1) year or hire
• Ability to obtain Certified Weather Observer status within 6 months of employment
• 3 years’ experience in operating and maintaining vehicles, light and heavy equipment
• Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT Physical
• Ability to pass a Background Check and/or FBI Criminal History Records Check

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess valid upgraded driver license (MN CDL B commercial driver license with appropriate endorsements) or ability to obtain prior to employment
• Class B Driver's License with tanker and air brake endorsements

• Ability to pass an ARFF 40 Hour Class within six (6) months of employment
• Emergency Medical Technician certification or ability to pass EMT Certification according to national standards within one (1) year of hire
