Executive Director needed at Paul Bunyan Transit in Bemidji.

Paul Bunyan Transit is seeking an experienced and communityfocused Full Time Executive Director to lead our organization and ensure highquality, reliable transit services for the Bemidji region. This role provides strategic leadership, oversees daily operations, and maintains strong partnerships with local, county, state, and federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
 Lead overall operations of Paul Bunyan Transit and the Volunteer Driver Program.
 Prepare and submit the annual Management Plan to OTAT.
 Develop and implement a public relations and community outreach plan.
 Maintain staff handbook, policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
 Oversee drug and alcohol testing programs and compliance.
 Serve as the Human Resources contact for the organization.
 Collaborate with neighboring transportation systems and community agencies.
 Advise and support the Transportation Advisory Committee.
 Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences.
 Communicate effectively with staff and the Board of Directors through reports and presentations.
 Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board.

Qualifications:
 High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
 Previous supervisory experience.
 Ability to work effectively with city, county, state, and federal agencies.
 Proficiency with computers and standard office technology.
 Familiarity with notforprofit board operations (501(c)(4)) and transit industry regulations.
 Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:
 Standard office environment with extended periods of sitting.
 Fastpaced atmosphere during highdemand periods.
 Frequent interaction with diverse individuals, agencies, and community partners.

Salary: Starting at $76,000 annually, with a sixmonth review; depending on qualifications. Benefit package included.
