Caretaker Couple needed for Summer 2026 at Vintage Vermilion Cabins & Retreat – Lake Vermilion, near Cook, MN.

Vintage Vermilion Cabins & Retreat, a quiet 5‑cabin resort known for its immaculate grounds and welcoming atmosphere, is seeking a seasonal onsite caretaker couple for approximately 20 + weeks during the 2026 summer season.

Approximate dates: May 9 – September 22 (flexible based on applicant needs).

About the Role: We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, self‑motivated couple who enjoy working outdoors, helping guests, and taking pride in keeping a property at its best.

Primary responsibilities include:
* Seasonal Open & Close
* Groundskeeping (mowing small grassy areas, planting pots and small garden patches)
* General handyperson-level maintenance & minor repairs
* Touch-up painting as needed
* Cabin and Lodge cleaning (only at guest turnover) and laundry (linens & towels)
* Managing supplies and inventories
* Supporting boat rentals
* Stocking firewood
* Providing warm, attentive guest service
* Communicating regular updates to the off‑site owner

A pickup truck is helpful but not required. References will be requested.

Compensation & Benefits:
* Seasonal salary for the couple (combined): $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience and skills
* Completion bonus for finishing the season included
* Roles are considered 1.5 FTE combined
* Comfortable onsite housing overlooking the lake included
* Intermittent time off available upon request
* Voluntary and occasional tips from guests
