The primary role of the Lineworker involves performing a wide array of skilled tasks associated with the operation, maintenance, and construction of our electric distribution system. Your experience will be essential as you:

Install, maintain, and repair underground distribution and service lines to ensure reliable electricity for our community.
Perform repairs and maintenance on power lines, street lighting, and service connections to uphold the integrity and safety of our infrastructure.
* Install new transformers, air switches, and reclosures, enhancing our network’s capability.
* Climb power poles to conduct inspections and perform installations and repairs, even in challenging weather conditions.
* Help construct substations and assist in answering emergency trouble calls, ensuring swift resolutions to any issues.
* Provide guidance and support to Apprentice Lineworkers as they grow in their roles.

The requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Electrical Line Workers program along with four years of Journeyman experience, or a four-year apprenticeship coupled with two years of journeyman experience. Having in-depth knowledge of electrical trade techniques, familiarity with electrical codes, and safe working practices is crucial.

Work Schedule: Generally day shifts, with flexibility necessary for extra shifts or on-call duties.

To succeed in this role, candidates must:
* Possess a valid Class B driver's license and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
* Demonstrate the ability to handle instructions clearly and interact with colleagues and customers in a courteous manner.
* Exhibit physical capability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting and climbing.

Hourly Rate: $41.01. 01/01/26 Hourly Rate: $42.25 New Hires start at 90% of the current hourly rate for the first 6 months employment. 67-shift probationary period.
