Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Operator
Skilled and Trades

This is a full-time bargaining unit position Position performs skilled work involving maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, vehicles, and related City equipment; operates heavy equipment; performs general maintenance and labor duties. Must possess a valid Minnesota Class C driver’s license and ability to obtain a Class B license with air brake endorsement within six months of date of employment. Must have completed a post-secondary two-year degree or an accredited apprenticeship program in vehicle repair or heavy equipment and diesel engine repair.



Current rate of pay is $33.74 per hour, with probationary employees being paid $30.07.
