Hanson Companies, www.hansonsilo.com is a 4th generation Family owned business and is growing in multiple markets that it serves. Hanson is searching for a qualified individual with a minimum of three to five years’ experience for a leadership role in charge of its financial area. Candidate should be experienced with general ledger management and financial statement reporting, cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable oversight (including billing and collections), inventory management as it relates to Syspro, the ERP system, and have strong technological and analytical skills.

The individual will be responsible for all financial considerations for this company including providing timely and accurate financial statements, balance sheet management, cash reconciliations and cash flow forecasting, capital project reviews, and compliance with various state reporting requirements. The position will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our ERP system use, preparation and management of budgets, and financial forecasts, coordinating the input from the production and sales teams. The individual will also be charged with overseeing the administrative functions of this entity including AP, AR and other finance and administrative duties as required.

Individual will work with Hanson’s CPA firm for corporate tax information. This person will also be responsible for bank reconciliations for other entities under the Hanson Companies umbrella.

Supervisory responsibilities will include oversight of the existing accounting personnel.

The selected individual must have strong interpersonal skills to be able and work across all departments of this manufacturer, specifically working collaboratively with the operations team and management. Hanson Companies runs the EOS management system, this person will be on the leadership team and attend weekly L10 meetings, quarterly planning meetings, and the annual planning meeting.

The individual must have strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be able to work across functional areas within the Company.

Other experience and skills not required but would be favorable include;
Experience with sales tax and reporting – wholesale, retail, material use tax, and fuel tax
Strong Excel skills/knowledge
Construction industry knowledge and experience with working with general contractors
Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) fillings and reporting
General understanding of Manufacturing, inventory
Responsible for Domo, a leading cloud based analytics/BI, data and intelligent apps platform Hanson has run since 2016
